  1. I am just reading this article in 2019; one thing I notice a lot with clergy and others is the intentional stuttering and it drives me crazy. Is that really a thing now?

    It goes something like this:

“Last week, I went to visit a friend and he was, he was talking so loudly that he didn’t even realize I was there!”
I don’t understand why this happens so frequently. Is this something that speakers are now being taught, thinking it will grab the attention of their audience? It actually does grab my attention, but not in a positive way. Why do they have to repeat their words in the same sentence?

  2. Public radio stations seem to find the worst people who may have something to say b but should never be heard over the airways. They pitch raise for emphasis at the end of every other word, use like and um as punctuation. Why do broadcasters choose people off the street to interview and never interview or coach them? They mix so much crap in their talk that who know what they are trying to say?
